Comal ISD Community Education program provides the general public with learning opportunities ranging from dance, to exercise and sports, to health & wellness, to travel and many other adventures. With more than 100 courses from which to choose, you are sure to find something that piques your interest!

Comal ISD's School Age Child Care (SACC) serves more than 1,500 children in kindergarten through fifth grade on a daily basis providing safe, quality, affordable child care. School-aged children are welcome to register at any of our 20 elementary schools for After School Care, or any of the 6 annually rotated elementary schools for Summer Care. We provide the highest quality child care that meets the needs of each child and family in a safe, nurturing and enriching environment. SACC's program protocols follow Comal ISD guidelines and are subject to change. Please see our Parent Handbook for additional information. Registering your student does not guarantee enrollment into SACC. Once registration is completed you will receive an automated pending contract request email, with the subject line stating: "Your School Age Child Care After School Program Contract Request." Do you love to draw and paint? Join us in this "great artist" camp where we will cut collages like Matisse, draw like DaVinci and paint like Van Gogh. Our projects will be inspired by the masterpieces of some of the most famous artists. We will explore various mediums like acrylic on canvas, watercolor, paper collage and pencil. The week will wrap up with beautiful masterpieces you will want to frame. Supply Fee-$40- to be paid to instructor 1st day of class

This camp is designed for your little master who loves to paint! We will work with acrylics as well as watercolor and mixed media. Everyone will have a blast painting animals, still life's and landscapes using a step-by-step method. They will learn basic color theory and super fun techniques that produce beautiful paintings every time. Students will produce at least one large painting, a miniature canvas and various sizes in between. Supply Fee-$40- to be paid to instructor 1st day of class

Children will learn basic science concepts through art experiences. The "Art & Science" program appeals to a combination of the curiosity of science and the beauty of art. Each day the students will explore, manipulate and discover art & science through fascinating games, science experiments, and art projects. Does your child LOVE to cook or bake? From Savory to Sweet, this basic course teaches age-appropriate cooking techniques where students gain self-confidence, develop life skills, critical thinking skills and communication skills through hands-on cooking. Each session brings a different syllabus of recipes. This class can accommodate nut allergies. Instructors are professionally trained classroom educators, chefs, or nutritionists

Grab your passport and join us as we taste our way through Western Europe. Students will experience global cuisines and culture as we roll our way through France, Italy, Spain, and Great Britain! Young chefs leave with boosted self-confidence, creative inspiration and life-long skills. Parents are treated to a tasting reception on the last day.
